Unless you have a bunch of stuff in the bed of the truck, or your local high school's defensive line riding in the back seat that you aren't telling us about, the numbers indicate a 1700+lb tongue weight, probably close to 2000lbs as indicated.
That is WAY WAY WAY over the rating for the receiver on your truck, not to mention the WD shank. Even with WD engaged, your truck's receiver is only good for 1000lbs or maybe 1250lbs at best.
If you were 50-75% overloaded on the receiver like that, you would see it and feel it, and it would be SCARY. We're talking flex, serious flex, in the receiver and possibly even the truck frame. It would not be safe to drive.
I would think if you had that much tongue weight on the Durango that you would have seen some visible damage to the rear frame.
Either the scale weight is wrong or there is something you're not telling us.
