Headed out to camp this weekend and I finally got around to weighing my truck and trailer. Everything looks good from what I can see, but I would appreciate any feedback. The truck was full of fuel, firewood and tools in the back on the first weight, me in the vehicle. The only thing missing from the truck was my 130b wife and 35b 4yo.2012 F250 Psd Steer-4780drive-3540Gross-8320With 2014 Openrange Roamer 310bhs 11,500 gvwr, Blue Ox sway Pro hitchSteer-4700Drive-4780Trailer-8640Combined-18120The only thing missing from the trailer was food in the fridge, and a few random items. I'll go with 200lbs of stuff that wasn't in the trailer, probably not close to being that heavy though.Any info would be appreciated.

The weights look good to me. It looks like you put all but 80 lbs back on the front axle, which seems about right.Just don't forget wife and little one when you go camping. :)Hope you enjoy your rig!Jerry

Yes, truck weight is with wood and full fuel. That is the first weight, the second is the trailer attached, hitch engaged. The axle rating are 5600\6100.

Looks good but you will be getting close to the payload limit.

It is more of a class rating, kind of like the 10,000 GVWR. The F250 diesels are usually 6,100 RAWR, and the gas like mine 6,200. I think the lowest 17" tires are 3,195, but most late model 250 tires will be 18"s with higher rating.

The F350 axle is rated for 7,000, but is the same axle as the 250. In any case, I follow the axle rating limits. In reality, the axle manufacturer rates the axles much higher.

Lots of room for argument in axle ratings, but you can't go wrong by staying under posted rating.

The rear axle rating is 6100# . Is the limiting factor the tires being rated for 3050# each ? I would imagine a Ford 250 rear axle has a higher rating but...the tires are the restriction ...am I correct ?
