Hi Ron, thanks again for helping out! I have not installed a Diesel engine nor a plow lol
I really have no idea how the axle weight went up so much. I expected them to be a little heavier in the front due to having the dog on this weigh versus the one in May but 500# is not what I expected to see, I would have thought maybe a 100# change. The rear I expected to go up about 125# or so due to the hitch and chairs in the bed, not the 680# it shows.
I'm lost on your last paragraph. When I weighed the combination before, the TV weighed 7840# and TT weighed 6180# for a total of 14,020#.
This time when I weighed it the TV weighed 7640# and the TT weighed 5540# for a total of 13,180#
TV difference is 200#, TT difference is 640# and GCWR difference is 840#
The differences to me are feasible as I said the TT didn't have all the food, clothes, 2 bikes and misc items we take.
If I was to adjust the hitch and move the weight as you described the front axles would go to 3800# and the rear would go to 3690# for a total GVWR of 7490. This would be 690# over GVWR.
Either way I look at it, if I adjust the WD to move the weights I'm still over the limits of the truck. The bars are 1000# bars also.
I wish I would have known about all this prior to buying the truck. Ugh!
