Fire at Sarasota FL LaMesa dealership

Drove up to Sarasota yesterday from Fort Myers to look at the new Lifestyle units and was greeted by fire engines around the dealership showroom and all employees standing out front.
Seems that about 15 min's after the the employees arrived they heard a loud pop sounds and a whoosh come from the back of the showroom. upon quick investigation they saw a small flame shooting frrm the roof of a brand new trailer in the back corner of the showroom.
By the time they grabbed extinguishers and got to it the rear section of roof was fully in flames.
Wisely they evacuated and left it to the fire fighters who arrived very quickly to put out.
Unfortunately there was smoked damaged to the showroom and to other RV's in the showroom.
They had power to most units in the showroom cause will be electrical I think it is safe to assume.
Kinda scary though.

Any basic investigation class will tell you not to assume anything but look at ALL of the facts as the investigation unfolds. Having power is assuming the cause to be electrical before the investigation has concluded
  • If any good has come of this no one was hurt and the RV had not been sold to someone who could of been sleeping in it when the fire broke out.
