Call ahead to the camp whether firewood from your area and of what specie, condition is acceptable.
The (gov. ) blanket state ban on transport of firewood does not take into consideration infestations of native or already established invasive, natural or transported by us by unnatural means to locals beyond their natural rate of spread.
Generally, aged wood without bark is pest free. Choose your camp wood carefully from tree specie, pick out of your wood pile split wood without phloegm, cambium or bark.
