You do know there is a difference between say Duraflame and PestroLog (Tacoma Log, EcoLog, etc)
Duraflame (and several others) contain waxes and other binders and I certainly wouldn't cook over them.
PrestoLog, Tacoma Log, EcoLog (and certainly others) are just sawdust pressed into logs/blocks. These have no binders and fall apart really easy as a result. But several of these brands are safe to cook over.
