We are definitely campfire people when it is cool enough and having no access to firewood locally we will buy at the campground but on our last trip I found some bagged firewood at Tractor Supply that was USDA certified for use anywhere. Not a bad price and burned very well.
Last year at a north Florida State park I bought some bagged firewood at the campground and noticed that the wood was a little unusual from local wood and the bag stated it was bagged by a California company. Now I just assumed it was a Ca. company doing business somewhere in the South but when I asked the ranger he stated that the wood was delivered in an 18 wheeler with Ca. plates!
