Looked at Lowe's and they have bundles fairly cheap.. don't see much around here. One campground did sell some that's all we've seen. Maybe I'm worrying too much?
I bought a portable, collapsible fire-pit with wind screen to keep the fire where it belongs. I buy a case of artificial logs to burn that are easy to light, last 2 hrs. When they are burned up, it's normally time for use to go to bed anyway. Now I never have a concern about carrying or buying wood onsite.
