Fitness Watch??

The Physical Therapist my wife is seeing recommends she get a Smart Watch to track her walking distances and other health items.. She doesn't need a real Smart Watch but rather something basic.. I am looking at the Samsung Forerunner 35.. I have read the reviews on the watch but they all sound like they were written by an Advertising Agency rather than actual owners.. anyone care to comment on this particular watch? Thanks Travel Safe
  • My FitBit thinks I'm walking when we drive on a rough road and the wheel vibrates! Really! I get a lot of miles just sitting on my butt.

The problem with a fit bit is that the display is way too dim. I’ve had one for a while. I can’t even read it if I am outside in the sun. Very common complaint if you do much research.
That is another reason we went with the Garmins, the numbers were larger than many we looked at.

My arms don't seem to be long enough anymore, even though I have long arms!

I’m “not a fan” of some the wrist worn units. You can sit at a desk typing all day, and be credited with thousands of steps! Not exactly a good means of tracking your steps! memtb
  • Does it track how much time is spent in the lawn chair drinking beer?
  • Polar M430. Sports watch and not smart watch. Works well, easy to use and see. Supported by fitness routines provided by polar. About 130ish.
  • Most android phones will monitor your walking/running with free app. No need to buy anything.
  • Fit bit, they have some less expensive, maybe Craigs List for a used. Wife wasn't using hers and past it on to a friend.
