Flex Seal, Flex Tape and Flex Glue...

Just curious as to their applications for rv's?
Would they be safe and maybe one of those items that could be added to the "must haves"? And do they work as well as advertised?
Thanks

  • I wasted my money on flex seal trying to seal a leak between two seams.
The very next rain storm the seam leaked as bad as before I used it.

  • No unless you don't care if it works or not. I keep waiting for that guys boat to sink. LOL
  • no. Like a lot of TV products, it's a good idea, but poorly made.
  • I've used flex seal and flex tape om my last camper and now on our new camper. If the area it is used on is cleaned properly it holds real well. Never had any problem with it.
  • With so many excellent products that are RV specific, not to mention tried and true, I see no reason to experiment with non-RV products. Better to do the job correctly one time, and be happy.

  • I have a roll of tape that my kid got me as a gag gift. I’ve used it and it works. My keyboard foot broke off and I used little strips to make a new 3/4 inch tall foot. Not sure I’d use it on the bottom of a screen door boat like that fool on TV. It seems similar to Eternabond tape, but I carry that too and would pick it over the flex-seal tape most every time.
  • I actually tried the Flex Seal on a leaky seam on a home gutter. Did not work worth a hoot. I tried several layers and it never did stop the leak. More good marketing than good product. I figured the "As seen on TV" product was going to be a disappointment, and I wasn't surprised.
