Let me clarify a few things from my earlier statements. The portable tote ban I spoke of was for "Black water" only. The use of blue totes was no issue at St Andrews and many were in use. The sign was posted and I understood it to mean the transport of black water in blue totes was prohibited.
As far as the lack of maintenance at St Andrews, the excuses that came from the park manager for issues that have been ongoing for 5 years was completely bogus. I understood the excessive rain caused the flooding and that is not my issue. The issue is the road system that fell apart 5 years ago in a hurricane that has never been repaired, the campsites that have not been filled or leveled in all the years I have been going there and the hodgepodge manner in which any minor upgrades are done. I am not faulting those who were working and volunteering there as they were working there tail off trying to deal with the affects of the rainy season. The management is clearly the faulty party here. This park is one the busiest in the system yet the park manager cannot convince anyone to provide funds to do routine maintenance yet other parks are getting complete rebuilds. The park manager is either ineffective, unqualified, or incompetent. I cannot say which as I do not know the person.
