Good suggestion. We have decided to store the rv in Mesquite and drive to the airport in Las Vegas. The options close to LA are too complicated.

ol Bombero-JC , the old Marine base is where we store ours. Great security, easy access, etc.

Your preference in airports (or ticketing info) would really help!.:@

Use one of the several driving directions web sites for "to/from" storage facilities or campgrounds for driving *TIME*.

*Anywhere* in the So.CA Los Angeles area, even seemingly short distances (in miles) may equate to s-l-o-w traffic with lots of delays.
Avoid rush hours - and 2 hours before and after - like the plague..:(
Yeah - narrow window of opportunity, but really good between 1 to 4 AM. (no pun intended)

Also - *If* you choose a facility *North* of LAX, like SF Valley -
be sure to check for lane closures on the busiest freeway in the US - the 405.
On-going major construction results in lanes, partial (one direction or another), shutdowns through the Sepulveda pass between the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles..:(

Most closures are during off-peak hours with some lanes open, but the infamous "Carmageddon" was the entire freeway..:(

Yep - if the OP is willing to travel (about 2 hours - or more depending on time of day) from Julian (in SD County) to Los Angeles....... there are *LOTS* of parks and storage available!
As well as another airport option, LOL!

Surprising you didn't mention parks / storage in Orange County (you list Anaheim as your location) - which would be way, WAY closer than Morro Bay..;)
(But still at least an hour's drive to all but Orange County airport)

Here's a convenient (Orange County) storage area at the old Marine Corps base MCAS (El Toro) which is really in Irvine..
Huge place - always has space available, good security....but it's an hour -or more- to/from LAX - about 15 minutes to Orange County airport.

There are other storage facilities in ORCO, but usually have waiting lists. Several expensive campgrounds (think Disneyland) but storage would be a "maybe".

Wood Glue - some storage suggestions for Los Angeles would be good.
(Along with a phone number? - for "sticker shock", and/or waiting lists)
And - yes, a couple of campgrounds in SF Valley, and out by Magic Mountain, etc. - but a long way from all but Burbank airport.

A friend parks his in Henderson when he flys out of Vegas. Sorry, I don't know the name of the place.

There's ten million people in L.A. County alone!
Real Estate has way, way better "returns" than campground usage.

While LAX *is* in California - there really aren't any storage options anywhere in the immediate Los Angeles area.

*If* you can find storage (doubtful) - it will be VERY, very expensive! (or in an area where you -or your RV- don't want to be!)
The closest campgrounds will be at least an hour's drive from/to LAX -same for Long Beach, a "maybe" for Burbank.

If flying out of Las Vegas (or a connector flight to LAX) is an option for you - a storage facility or campground in the Vegas area will be considerably closer to the airport than anything you will find in the L.A. area. (Probably much easier on your wallet too!)

Another option would be Ontario airport. There *may* be campground / storage reasonably close in Riverside Co.

Which airport are you departing from? LAX Ontario, etc? That's going to make a lot of difference in price.
