Lake Martin is always a great place to cool off in the summer. Only a 90 minute drive from the house. And you're right, people who can't stand the humidity stay away. And Gulf State Park is a 3 hour drive. Plus we have a 52" wind maker fan that we put on back of the truck for those days we need a breeze. ;)
