For the RVer spanish students.

Every once in awhile I post a link on a good student resource if one comes available. This one has been out for a few months now but was previously only available for purchase on CD. It is a continuation of the Destinos saga and borrows some of the earlier dialogue but also adds new dialogue. Here you go.

And another. This is a youtube movie release of "Sol y Viento" A nice mix of chilean and north american spanish and excellent conversational dialogue. If you are an intermediate student listen and watch this in its entirety every night for thirty nights and you will find your self much more comfortable in the language. Aqui tiene.

y una mas. Here is the script to the above. Read a chapter out loud every day. Wait until you have listened to the movie half a dozen times or so.

Thanks for that J and A! We both did the original Destinos series many years ago, through the Open University in BC. We even had a tutor available by phone! A superb series. I did Spanish 100 (part 1) and 101 (part 2) and Gillian did Part 1.

Seriously tempted by Nuevos Destinos though. I see that the original series, both part 1 and part 2 are still available. Wouldn't mind getting the DVDs but $450 USD is too steep. Guess we'll have to stay with the video cassettes! This is the first year we didn't lug them all to Mexico with us!

Glad to see you guys are still at it. We have had to stay close to an airport this year due to my moms health but she is doing better. We went home at Christmas and she is doing better in her new assisted living.

The nuevo destinos definitely is not as interesting as the first series but still has some new dialogue as well as lots of review. Have you done the Sol y Viento film yet? I enjoyed it. Lots of useful conversation I find myself using often when in conversation. What did you think of it?

I am concentrating most of my efforts on German right now but still visit french and Spanish for 20 to 30 minutes at least once a day on a maintenance basis. We are spending most of the summer in Europe this year. Have all the languages covered except Italian and Portuguese. Should be a hoot.
