The problem with Ford dealers is two fold.
1. The technicians do not know about towing the vehicle in question and having to charge the battery.
2. The dealer is concerned with law suits and liabilities.
And thus you are SOL on special wiring other than what comes from the factory.
Have a good automotive electrician check the wiring.
