That's right. It won 't do a thing for the rings. My owner's manual said to hold off on towing for about 1000 miles and that's what I did, although I think that was really to let the rear end gears mesh and not so much for the benefit of the engine. My .02 opinion is that you'll be fine with 1000 miles on that engine.
