Front View Camera-anyone else use one?

Front view camera on Amazon

Does anyone else use a front view Camera to document driving. I have this one and the microsd card will record 8 hours of video before starting to rewrite over the oldest video. There are several settings to allow you to customize the camera.

The camera mounts behind my rear view mirror and gets a great view of the road including other vehicle license plates.

I have nothing to do with the company but really like my camera and think it is a useful tool, especially if I am in an accident. Cost is around $50.

    The Russians are here.
I use one also. DW calls me the Gadget Guy.

  • There are multiple versions with varying angle width, battery or capacitor, color etc.
Also, you need to make sure the place you buy it from is reputable as there are some with a counterfeit chipset in them.
Here is a page about the different models.

  • I also like the idea, and am planning on getting one. An OTR truck driver has one, and tells us that more and more of them are getting them for their own defense, and to be able to record and turn over to LEOs things that happen on the road. Be aware that there are several things about the way they work to be considered, and get good advice before buying blind. Some record and rewind, pausing the recording for a time period.
  • I like the idea and have been toying with it as an add on. I have seen some really crazy******ahead of me. I think they can serve a good purpose. Attached to rear of your rear view mirror would not cause any problems that I can foresee.
  • I use one too. You just never know when you may need to document a road rage incident or crazy drivers doing crazy things. Not sure on the windshield mounted things issue but have not had any sort of problem as yet about it.
