We travel up and down the East Coast a couple times a year, and sometimes more. Cheapest gas we have ever bought is at the Flying J in Rock Hill SC, just off of I77. Like others, I like to buy the cheapest fuel I can, but I place a lot of emphasis on ease of getting in and out of the pumps, access & closeness to the highway I'm using, and lastly discounts.
FYI, gas prices in PA are going up .08 cents per gallon on Jan.1. We are special.
I use that exit all the time when traveling back home to Georgia. I have used the flying j before with our RV Plus card, but had been using my Plenti card at the Exxon across the street to rack up the points on it. Both gas stations advertise the same price. But I didn't recognize it until a month or so ago that the Exxon was charging me actually more than what was posted to use my credit card. This past weekend, I used my rv plus card again and got the 7 cents off a gallon of gas, which was way cheaper than the exxon, plus htere was no surcharge to use a credit card at the flying j. The pilot at our exit where we live is the same price or lower than the other gas stations at the exit.
