I've owned two Honda EU2000i gensets but would agree completely that no generator is "quiet", certainly not quiet enough for me. :M However, there is a solution - mount the genset in a properly designed enclosure, then mount that in the back of an enclosed truck cargo compartment, engineer a way for the genset to receive a steady supply of fresh cool air and a way of venting out hot exhaust gas & air, and it is possible to reduce any noise heard to a very muted hum that's barely audible 20' away even with the genset running full tilt. :B They don't, ergo we are having this discussion. :R
The proof is in the pudding. If other genset owners would do the same we wouldn't even be having this discussion. :R
