I have been known to approach fellow campers who are running a LOUD generator after hours to ask them to turn it off.
I suspect it's the "after hours" part that's more of the problem. I am as noise sensitive as it gets (squirrels rustling through leaves or eating bird seed can wake me up) but during day and early evening hours I don't even here any generators as I am preoccupied having fun. This is why I always go to full hook-up campgrounds. Reduces the chance for generators running.
