I guess forum topics take on a life of their own. That's OK.
But my main point in posting under the title "Funny Story" was to emphasize what can happen with tech: reading a weather forecast for a place 1200 miles away without realizing it. I thought that was pretty funny. I wouldn't have thought it was so funny if I had not caught the mistake, however. I also thought it was funny, in a Dave Barry/Bill Bryson sort of a way, that I - of all people - was considering getting a generator.
