the 2-door unlimited was introduced in 2004 and unofficially dubbed the 'LJ'. in 2007 the JK series 4-door unlimited made it's appearance.

The 2006 Wrangler Rubicon I had was a 2 door Unlimited.
That pretty one that the OP just got is not a 2 door unlimited.

I didn't realize that there was a Wrangler Unlimited 2 door. That must have been prior to the JK wrangler that came out in 2007 (maybe the TJ models?) Here is a picture of the wife's unlimited. We are now a 2 jeep family!

The unlimited is the 4D wrangler. This is a Wrangler Sahara 2DR.
