- dwayneb236ExplorerWhy disparage those that want what they want? Some like smaller, some like bigger. Ain't that what we are all after?
Personal choices that do not hurt others but make us happy?
We are four adults that usually travel together and have ordered one of those 40ft monsters because it's what we wanted. Pretty simple. - ncrowleyExplorer IIWe looked at downsizing last year and after many months of looking and thinking, we decided it was just not for us. We have a 39 foot diesel pusher that is an older model. I needed to go back in years in order to afford it. We love traveling in it and living in it. We found we would have to give too much up if we went down in size.
We spent a lot of time writing down the pros and cons, and the cost differences. It is important that each person take that time. The problem is if you have never owned one it is hard to know what you will like and not like. We could not have made the analysis if we did not have the last three years of experiences in the coach we have. There is a lot of good information in this forum, but everyone has different situations and desires so it is hard to know if someone's issues will be yours. - jplante4Explorer IIIf you want 100 amps, get 2 adjacent 50 amp sites.
- eDUBzExplorerWe are seriously considering up grading our 19' TH to a 25' nothing more than that. But the last couple of days we were thinking the 19' is so perfect we can roll up pretty much any where we want and reserve almost any site with out wondering if we will fit etc. The TH has everything we need and we don't have to worry about all the extra luxury stuft that can fail, less stuff to worry about. We can afford more trailer but financially it's not worth it for us I love storing my RV in my drive plus parking my truck there too, we would rather just spend that cash on our home with new upgrades and all the luxuries there. Although me and my wife are always looking at the newest rigs online and they are very nice, just not for us tho :)

I guess I'm just a bad nasty, different type of RVer than most. I've always wanted MORE. And, the only thing that stopped me from upgrading was insufficient funds. Yet, I have no problem RVing in my ole Dutch Star, and having a good time. And, I fully understand that I'm not a camper. IMO there's a definite distinction between RVing and camping.
I absolutely agree with that. I know that if I were RVing, my needs and wants would be different - maybe not bigger, but different. And if I were full-timing, my needs and wants would be different still. - Cloud_DancerExplorer III guess I'm just a bad nasty, different type of RVer than most. I've always wanted MORE. - Bob_OlallawaExplorerWell, I guess we could all stay in a 10X12 tent. What the heck, buy what you think you need to start with, saves buying at least 3 rigs to find what you want.
Money is a driver at best but what is good for you might not be my first choice. And yes I pull a trailer because I like the storage in my truck bed. - IAMICHABODExplorer II

- navegatorExplorerI enjoy watching these leviathan buses maneuver with characters that have no clue how to maneuver to get in and out of a pull through space, I must disappoint many a park spectator, back in in one move, we started with a small C class and have been in spots that only 18 foot trailers are allowed in State Parks for Christmas, totally alone with nature and some forest trails.
Many of those that purchase the huge monsters are just bragging how much the unit costs, they are just keeping up with the Joneses, nothing new I guess they really do not enjoy nature or out doors, seem to be very bored people, they need to be entertained with all sort of amenities and things to do at these fancy big resorts, well they will not let me in any way, too small and not the right rig.
Enjoying la vida loca.
