Well I almost got a ticket years ago in Washington, driving I90 westbound out of Spokane I think near Sprague, traffic was extremely light. In this section the right lane was pretty rough so with curse set at 70 in a 65 zone I was traveling happily in the smooth left lane no one near me.
I see two WSP (Washington State Patrol)cars sitting under an overpass. Didn't bother to release the cruse, 5 over no biggie. As I pass one pulls out and lights me up, when the officer approached and asked the normal question "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
My response was well I was 5 over, but figured you wouldn't bother. His response, well yes you were going a little fast, but I pulled you over for traveling in the left lane while not passing!!
The law was about three years old at the time. :S
He did let me off with a warning, I just shook my head.
