If person walks into a retail store and speaks with customer service about some fault with a product they purchased is ALL the other customers standing by listening obligated to have a report of how the matter was resolved?

Very true as the rule goes… but all 11 stories have their bias… 10 of them just might be much more bias with a hint of truth than the other one, and that is quite often the case…

The big difference today is the satisfied customer generally don’t bother to tell the world were the unsatisfied customer will via the internet…

This not only cheapens legitimate complaints on the internet, it very much disadvantages a larger company where a few unsatisfied customers can make things seem pretty bad and still be a very low percentage of the overall or total sales…

So I base my opinion of this company on my personal experience, and that has been positive with in store and internet sales and service…


I must add their success or failure isn’t dependent on me… I haven’t bought anything from CW in several years, for no other reason than I have to many things and no need to buy more…

While I sure appreciate your involvement and the creation of your team and the added forums… there are things that should be added from my side of the keyboard…

While it is and should be your and the company goal to get it right the first time every time, that is a unrealistic goal, and you should be given the chance to make it right if you failed…

your straight forward approach to these problems is admirable, it also is the equivalent of walking around with a target on your back… justifiable??? I’m not so sure…

It is not your job or that of the company to resolve all problems to the satisfaction of the customer if the company didn’t fail even though the customer may believe you failed, and sometimes there is no way to achieve any level of satisfaction from some people… this has to be realized as well when we read these threads and these rants…

Now to my complaint… :B

I loved the stand alone CW stores and dislike having to go to dealerships for my accessory purchases…


Just one example of a customer complaint that you will not satisfactory address as the stand alones continue to disappear…

This is not sexy but here it is anyway.

Frig. quit about 60 miles from Springfield Illinois. Called C W in Springfield about 9am. We had a new frig. that night. We are very happy with it and with Camping World too.

I WANT Camping World to be great. What other Brand out there caters SPECIFICALLY to us? CW has some work in front of them. But if they really want it, they will get it right. If not, another brand will emerge and take up market segment. (Tom Johnson, anyone?)
