Gap insurance and total replacement coverage
We are picking up a new TT in a few days and the dealer asked if I wanted gap insurance. I said no the last time and I'm tempted to say no this time too because my DW typically pays more on out month...

GAP is one of the most overpriced insurances in the world, and rarely worth it. It is often sold by less than the most reputable companies. Both the insurance company and the dealer get some profit margin above the cost of the risk which is actually very low (low chance of being in a wreck, low chance of being totaled, low chance of the primary insurance company not covering the loss, etc.) However, if you can't sleep at night worrying about the chance of loss, go for it.
