Getting rid of Road Trip grill - replace with Weber Q?

We're both getting fed up with our Coleman Road Trip grill. It's a real POS (piece of stupidity). Cheap quality, a few too many bad design features and I'm getting tired of "folding" it up and stuff...

I wish there was more heat coming out so I could grill or make pancakes with top open.
is it possible to drill out the hole sizes to increase heat?
I put foil on bottom and then throw it away. I wish someone would make a fitted piece to go in the bottom
