I just looked at the Weber Q series today. VERY impressed. Solid and well designed. Seems a bit heavy judging by the looks but that's fine if it means more substantial construction.
The only thing I noticed I don't know if I like is the underside of the lid has a rough-cast finish and may be not the easiest to clean?
The grill size on the 2200 looks nicer but it's a lot heavier and bulkier.
Are the Webers likely to go on sale this fall? At the moment, Walmart, Amazon and the others all have the same price for the 1200 at $199. The going price in Canada is $249 making it cheaper here at the moment with the exchange rate the way it is. Bummer, 'cuz just about anything has been waay cheaper in the US or quite a while. We usually get things shipped to a US mailbox.
