The best fire starters I use is this eigth sticks to a box called STRIKE-A-FIRE... This along with a couple of fire starter long propane lighter is all you need.

These are very handy to have around... Even when the wood is damp...
COLEMAN also package the same STRIKE-A-FIRE sticks under their brand name in the camping section of WALMART etc...
I buy a box of 48 all the time from AMAZON or pick up a box of 48 at WALMART or LOWES and then move them to my used boxes for carrying them when camping.
