I think the target audience is not for those of us who are active in the RV lifestyle. I think the target audience is for those who do not have accesses to the RV lifestyle, for whatever reason. Yes, it sounds expensive, but if the motel is an upper scale motel to begin with, then the management, of course, will make their "tent camping" high end scale also, along with the price.
I don't think this motel's target audience are folks who are living pay-check-to-paycheck or folks living on government assistance or homeless. Just like a cruise on a cruise ship, it's a once in a lifetime experience, something to give you bragging rights at the exclusive closed membership club they belong to.
Or, like a cruise, the "average" customer might have saved up several years to make a really special vacation experience.
Either way, I'm most confident the intended clientele are not RVer's. Yuppies, guppies, and fluffies yes? But not seasoned RVers.
And I bet they have a waiting list 5 years long since there are only so few tents available.
