Glamping

We ran into a group that was big into this when we were camping in the Phoenix area one year.

The group was a bunch of gals that called themselves "Sisters on the Fly" and they had a website. I got some neat pics of their rigs and wrote about meeting them on our blog (it's got their website link too):

Yes! A good friend of mine has a tiny trailer that was lovingly restored - and she pulls it behind her small SUV. When she sets everything up - it's just too cute for words!

What beautiful campers here!!! That one that GrandmaLee shared I've seen before (online) and it is a beauty:) Thank you all for sharing.

I always think of Airstreams when a "10 year rule" thread pops up on here. I can't imagine any CG that would turn away a classic like that. The owners are justifiably proud of their units.

I just couldn't let that happen. Between internet searches and Quite a few phone calls later and I found an Airstream Guy and he drove all the way from OK to FL to pick it up to either restore it or break it down to supply original parts to others restoring them. I felt really good I had save a vintage TT. :C

You really want to get in touch with Tin Can Tourists. We are going to be a part of such a display this weekend. Our coach is not Concourse type, as the sign I hang out says... "Forty years old and still in regular use. We don't plan to "restore" it, we are trying to wear it out before we do."

Get on their site and look for a gathering near you. They happen all the time. There are actually six in the next three weekends - all largely separated geographically, but all the same in spirit.

Someday, somehow, I plan to do this.

I was lucky enough to be in a CG where they held a Bluebird MH Rally. It was unbelievable. As I walked thru the CG they ALL invited me in to see their coaches, they all are VERY proud of their restorations down to each and every detail. Would have given my eye teeth to own one of them.

And then a month later I was at a CG where there was an old Airstream TT parked in the back that was abandoned and the CG owner was going to junk it! :E

There's a group of women who travel around in vintage TT. I forget their names, but they were impressive.
