The money is not so much a factor - it's neither a pittance nor a pot-full-of-gold.
It's more a "personal fulfillment" sort of thing, this particular job, and taking it makes The Sweetie happy so NOT taking it or saying "Don't do that" wasn't an option.
At this point it's just a matter of what the Other Significant Other would/could/should do and whether or not anyone has been in the same situation (and had any guidance) or what thoughts or opinions others might have.
Gotta say, though: That idea of living in the RV to make the commute shorter is sounding better and better.
