good Sam VS AARP.

I've found most CGs take anything you throw at them for the "discount."

We belong to both.

AARP was a HUGE supporter of Obamacare, apparently thinking they would get more $$ somehow. Since the bulk of the people eligible for AARP are also already on MediCare, IMHO it was an EVIL bargain with the devil with no guarantee of benefit. WAS an AARP member, no longer recommend them for diddly!

there’s no chance we’d give one red cent for anything to AARP. reasons are totally political which i will not detail. suffice it to say IMO they do not have the well being of the typical senior in mind.

we belong to Good Sam (although we don’t do many 1-night stays these days) as well as KOA and AAA. on the very rare occasion we stay in a hotel the AAA card provides a discount. the typical CG/RV Park will provide a better discount for weekly and monthly stays.

From the day I turned 50 the AARP mail started. Politely asked in return mail several times to quit sending me their junk. Did not work, mail kept coming.

Well I did a lot of Medical clinics where I removed sheet lead. I filled the postage paid envelope and asked again to please stop.

Guess when it cost them a bunch of money they got the hint!

Well, actually never joined. Like someone said personal reasons...

Don't forget AAA. Lots of places also give discounts if you are a member.

And a big +1 on AAA- they are better than most from what I have found. And don't forget vet/first responder discounts that many give. You just gotta ask.

Passport America is good for a couple of days here that there- depends on how you travel. We get our annual cost back and more in a single trip.
