I would just ignore it. You paid your taxes and have proof. Anything else is not something I would worry about. If the dealer would like to have proof send a copy of your Kansas registration if you want to just to be nice.
It sounds like to me the dealer's state is checking up on sales taxes due and in your case there isn't any due that state.
