We didn't get the Little red as after years of fire bans had made them a pretty popular item. Lowes had a slightly larger pit for $99 that we got last year.
Besides the bans we found it nice for the first night when we hadn't collected wood yet. On those not so nice nights where the wind was up or it could start raining at any minute, even when we wanted a fire but knew we didn't feel like being out there long enough it was nice to be able to shut it of and go inside no hassles.
When I saw the Little red I though wow how small but I've read that like ours, once the light go out all you see is the fire, not the pit. We even drop ours into the stone pits and from a few feet, you can't tell it's propane.
There is also the Big red for those that need bigger.
