Back to your specific question. Yes you only have 240# of payload left. You would be getting close to max axle weights if you added much more than that anyway.
The scale weights, all passengers in the truck? Full tank of gas? What about water in the TT? Maybe you could haul the TT with the water tank empty if you need more cargo weight and just properly load it?
I commend you for doing all this. Its funny how a truck with a 9000+ towing max is all maxed out with a sub 7000 trailer. Be safe, it sounds like you are good as long as don't buy too many heavy toys.
