Had the Fuse bypass installed on Honda CRV today

It is so easy to make, and since I already had the wire & connectors, I have less than $10 in switch and fuse holder. The additional 12v 15amp BrakeBuddy plug connectors added another $8. Dick

Everyone seems to have these now. Night Shift Auto (makers of Ready Brake) has a 1 fuse, and a 2 fuse version for those who have to pull 2 fuses.

Edit: Also on my 2013 CR-V EX the radio saves station presets and does not require a code reset or reset of any kind.

Thanks for answering this for me. This is the DW and I wasn't sure about the 12volt plugs as we don't use them for the braking system.

I also made and installed a #19 fuse switch on 2013 CR-V and yes it also controls both 12v outlets (makes them dead when fuse is switched off or pulled). It was easy to run a extra 12v 15a outlet direct from the battery for my BrakeBuddy. Dick

WE had this done, but they did say there was an inline fuse. They explained what they were going to do. Put wires in the fuse spot then run everything to the switch.

We use the Plug and Play braking system on the HOnda, but when we pulled the fuse on the Mazda we towed, the brake buddy worked just fine in the plug.

I think fuse 19 only controls the radio, but not sure

turning the key to aux releases the steering and I think will run everything. It was the radio that was draining us.

No we do not have to reset the clock. We use Sirius Radio and we don't have to do anything with the radio.
