Some Honda generators are made in China, along with Japan, India, France, Thailand, and USA. (from Honda web site).

I have owned a Honda 2000 for years , always thought it was made overseas , been a great generator. But I know two that have those Harbor Freight Predators , I am sure they are China made ,but so far they have been very nice running, quiet ,and have got the job done. I believe their 2000 watt is about half the price of the Honda 2000. Probably a great generator for those few hours a year . Like my Honda ,it does not get ran all that much .
