Don't even get my wife started on the induction cooking. She has used ours for about a year and just loves it. It does a great job making the food taste better too. (I don't even understand how that happens).
BTW: It does not require magnetic pots and pans. It requires a pot or pan that is attracted to a magnet (iron). She hasn't used our 3 burner stove since the induction unit sits on top of it for a year. Fulltiming.
And, you can easily take it outside to cook if desired. It also produces less heat to the kitchen area. All pluses.
