X2 - tenbearExplorerI made my own and it works great.
- TankerDudeExplorerGenturi works great. Just make sure the exhaust outlet is in a place that will allow the Genturi to be mounted vertically. We had use it on our previous rig just fine. We are having a generator installed in the new rig, and the typical location for the exhaust is directly under a slide, making the use of the Genturi in that location impossible. I'll have to have the exhaust run much further towards the rear to the first area the Genturi can be installed and not interfere with other equipment.
- Community AlumniHad a Genturi when we had our Class A. Used it many race weekends for years, it worked really well.
- IvylogExplorer IIIOver the years I've posted about my $18 one made from a 10' section of alum 2X4 downspout, 90 degree elbow, and a 4" suction cup... probably used it 30 days this past year between the Albuquerque balloon fest (required) and several dry camping rallies this winter.
For just one day I put on a metal conduit 90 degree sweep pointed up if there is very little wind... easier to get to and store.
Originally made one out of PVC pipe but it got hot enough to bend. :S - edatlantaExplorer III use one a couple of times a year. It is the original article and works great.
- garyemunsonExplorer IIThought about making my own but was pressed for time leaving on a trip so just bought one. Have never regretted that purchase. Well made and works great.

We've used a genuine Gen-turi since we got our first motorhome with an onboard generator. It works well redirecting the exhaust fumes and noise above the coach where it's disbursed by the prevailing breezes.
Ditto on this answer. Easy to hook up and works as advertised. - Johno02ExplorerLots of threads on the subject. Search Genturi, and find about three pages worth. Answer to your questions are YES and VERY WELL. I don't have one myself.
