This of course is a joke for those of us that are old enough to remember the J.C. PENNEY Battery with the Lifetime warranty. THOSE WHERE THE DAYS!!

I sold those batteries, while working my way through college.
I worked at the JC Penney auto center in Riverside, California.
They were $49 and people would scam the warranty by bringing in the battery alone.
The guarantee was only for the original vehicle. So they would just put the new one in their next vehicle.
JCP finally wised up and discontinued it.
I used to make more commission on selling batteries than I did selling tires.
