I don't drive interstates any more unless I have absolutely no other choice and then I'm on and off as soon as possible. Ever drive around I-465 (Indianapolis). They run 15 to 20 mph over and whiz around like non-one's business! Been this way for several years now. The only time traffic is driving anywhere near normal speeds is during peak pre-business hours and after hours (7:00 am - 9:00 am and 3:30 - 5:30 pm M-F). Then there's so much traffic you can't get ANY speed up. Then let there be an accident and all the construction during those hours and you don't have to worry about speeders!
Week-ends are another matter though.
I hate Indiana interstates because they are so rough. Crazy idiots driving 85-90 mph over nothing but horrendous bumps and it's a wonder the crazies don't go airborne.
Meanwhile, I'm asking ... where's law enforcement ...??? I get off interstates ASAP or never use them any more. And on 2 lane roads, if I'm running the speedlimit and I have a trail of cars behind me ... you know ... I really don't care. Someone will eventually pass and then we'll meet at the same stop light at the next town again anyway!
