I suspect you were travelling I95. I just get in the right lane, set the cruise on 65, and let the fools fight it out in the left lane. I95 is a mess, too many Yankees heading south for FL than the road was designed to handle.
It appears now that the RIGHT (slow lane) is now the fast lane and the LEFT (suppose to be passing lane) is now the slow lane.. At least here in Ca...

Last week we had the opportunity to travel in our car instead of the MH about 130 miles of interstate in S California. I know it was Thanksgiving weekend but, I've never seen such a bunch of NASCAR want-a-bes on the road at one time. I found myself traveling at 80 for a brief period of time to get out of a pack of semi's I got caught in and everyone was still passing me like I was the idiot who was holding up traffic. Most are holding their lanes at faster speeds but there is always the one guy who just darts left and right at speeds of 20 mph faster than all the other traffic...I get scared of getting a ticket if I'm only a couple miles per hour over the posted speed.
So you were caught up in the asinine traffic too ! Of all places to go on Thanksgiving week we went to Disneyland in the Mini instead of the MH. We left Sacramento Tuesday mid morning and got into LA just in time for the freeways to be backed up from the idiot protesters out on the freeways and overpasses !

You get these idiot people that "merge" well pull out on the freeway doing 40mph NOT LOOKING just turn the ts on and just come right on the freeway then people are either slamming on their brakes or swerving into the left lane right in front of other traffic then its the domino effect everybody that was doing 65-75 is now crawling at 5-10 mph !
Then there's the yahoo that pulls into the left lane and has been there the last 1/2 hour doing 68 mph while traffic is backing up and jockeying for positions trying to pass the idiot in the left/fast lane in the right/slow lane..
My favorite one is a truck pulls out to pass another truck. 1st truck 56mph 2nd truck passing 58mph about oh 2 miles later he is pulling back over from passing the 1st truck meanwhile traffic has now backed up for as far as you can see in your rearview mirror BUT there is always some bonehead that is following the passing truck but they want to keep a safe distance from the passing truck !You are 1 or 2 cars behind them in line waiting to get around too, AND here comes the car on the right he flies up cuts over right in front of the bonehead that wants to keep distance so now he backs off more and yep another car swings over in front of him again..and again and again..
AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY THERE IS SO MUCH ROAD RAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The all time one ? that I want answered is ; you can have 3 to even 5-6 lanes of traffic, now with the far left lane NOT being a carpool lane . How in the heck or why is it crawling at 10-15 mph and the other lanes are going faster ??????
I mean that lane should be NON STOP it should be flowing all the time unless there is an accident or something in the road.
I'd love to be able to be in a helicopter over head and see who or what is causing the jam-up ?!
Those are the ones that needs nailed with tickets !!

I noticed when we got out of Ca Az and into New Mexico , Texas, people actually seemed to know how to properly merge onto a freeway the posted speed 65 , they were doing 65+ to merge, Unlike the idiots here in Ca, Washington, and Oregon that do the flip the TS on don't look and come on the freeway at 35-45 mph.
Also back East we notice alot of signs LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY, and it appeared most was doing just that ! Unlike here in Ca the idiots get over and park their butt in the fast lane...
So yeah where are the LEO's ?? from Sac to LA and back I think we saw 3 CHP's out on the road ... drive time roughly 22-24 hours , use to be 16hrs at most round trip.
