Good luck on your survey. I understand that you only want US residents, though I also understand how so many of our northern friends may feel jilted...but, it's your survey.

If this survey were actually from a business school at Temple University, why doesn't the survey have a .edu address. Answer the questions at your own risk. I didn't even bother to read it.

To the OP. On the question about the number of days one uses their recreational vehicle, you should include the answer of "Full Time". Full Time RVers (FTers) live in their RVs year round. Since it is their domicile and it contains their possessions, they are highly unlikely to consider renting it out.

Respondents who answer "Full Time" could then be flagged and their responses set aside.

We had a sailboat that we put into a rental program. The added insurance costs, repair and maintenance costs, etc., made it so not worth it.

I would never consider renting something so complicated as a Class A. I shudder to even think what damage would be caused in one weekend.

And that's pretty much what I said in the survey.

I took it, and I even answered the demographic questions.

I just walked into the other room and bade my wife and children good bye. Now I sit with a tear in my eye while I wait for the men in the black helicopter to come and haul me off as they now know where to find me. I think I hear them coming now. :(

we left our unit on consignment. The Dealre let someone test it. Took it to the races in winter in snow. Did lots of damage to shower etc.
No way in the world would I rent it out because the people that would pay that kind of money treat them like junk.
Rental could bring us over two thousand a week but insurance and repairs would be high and the life of the unit would greatly shortened.

The "invasive" questions were Male/Female, Income level, Zip code, Age and Education completed. These were simply demographics and many find that information to personal. Additionally, they are "hidden" as questions that are being gathered as part of the survey topic and not identified as demographics.

I did finish the survey, but these kind of questions often cause me to stop answering.

I've read through all these posts...it seems some folks think this guy is data mining or just plain a troll. Can we find away to confirm this guy is who he says he is? I will not do any survey that asks any questions of a person content even though they think they need it. The sad thing is all surveys are data mining operations &/or pushing some sort of agenda, like trying to push all of us to rent out our RVs...note the mention of 2 companies that do car sharing....we get it and why I won't log on to take your "survey".

I fully agree with others...we will NEVER rent out our person rig to anyone...ever seen well used rental cars...yuck!

We purchased our camper to see the country and avoid Motel Rooms!
Have no intention of turning our camper into a rolling motel room for someone or renting a publically use camper. Too often in the past I have asked for a non-smoking room on business trips only to find out that there is no such thing.
