My late wife was 5'1" and folding step was the first accessory she bought for the RV. That way she didn't have to bring one from home.
My even shorter daughter puts full faith in her grabber device. She always knows where it is, keeps it in the laundry room because she can't reach the bottom of the tub of her supersize washer, even standing on a step stool.
We have some cabinets over the fridge, nobody knows what's in them. My wife, who put things in there, died before revealing the secrets. Nobody can reach it, not even on a stool, until the refrigerator is removed. Nothing quite that bad in the RV.
