I had wanted to use the pull down shelving units but sadly they do not come narrow enough to fit our cupboards. I have opted for the step ladder and the plastic tub ideas for now. I will continue to use hubby when he is around since he is just a bit taller (almost 2 feet taller) than me. Might be time to come up with a design of pull down shelving for an RV I think :) Thanks everyone for all your very useful responses.
