Find your Tundra's GCWR, GVWR, Rear/Front GAWR's
Then do the simple math using actual weights
Stuff, as in cargo, people, pets, etc, etc...hitach weight too
Most lower class TV's will get into RGAWR way sooner and normally becomes
the limiting factor
Know that the OEMs use 'curb' weight TV's to derive their MTWR
Ditto trailer OEMs use 'dry' weight, which is the 'curb' or 'stripper' in the
above TV calculations.
Forget about their claimed MTWR, as it is derived from the 'curb' and
'dry' weights of both TV and trailer...unless you actually do own
a stripper TV and trailer...
Almost forgot to touch on: decide whether you believe in the OEMs
ratings system or not
If not, this discussion is academic, and do whatever, but know that
you have taken the OEM(s) off the warranty & liability hook
If yes, then bone up on how the ratings system works
Also, note that many, many advisers do NOT believe in those ratings
system, so factor that into your decision(s)
That the Space Shuttle 'can' be towed by a half ton...question is
should it, how well it will be able to manhandle it the day Mr Murphy
crosses its path and how long before it breaks down...
