Look at the sticker on your door jam. It should tell you max payload of your truck. My guess is that it will be right at 2500lbs, maybe a bit less, depending of trim level.
5vrs typically put 20-25% of their weight on the pin, so in your case, you would be probably be a bit over your payload.
In general, 3/4 ton diesel pickups and 5vers are not the best combo.
Having said all that, the question is will it tow your 5ver, sure. Will it be safe, probably. Will it be within the manufacturers tow and payload ratings, probably not.
