You are only about 400 lbs over dry weight. I suspect the trailer was not loaded for a trip. When loading keep in mind what it will do to the tongue weight. I would recommend heavy things to the front of trailer.
We just got back from weekend trip minus food in fridge. We travelled light. Why should we go above the 14% tongue percentage?
