The world demand for diesel fuel is higher than it's ever been, hence the high prices. Global economy and all that. I just installed an additional 91 gallons so I get to choose when and where and at what price I get my diesel.
I never understand the aux. tank logic. 91 gallons of diesel is worth $350.00. The tank itself is $500.00.
I'm not sure where the savings is vs. filling tank with diesel 125.00 at a time. Yes occasionally. I may have to make a 145.0 fill up.
But how often are you forced to buy overpriced fuel.
My numbers are not precise but I'm not sure how buying/carrying more fuel results in savings?
I understand you may fill up when its bargain priced. But how do you predict the future. Buy today, price could drop tomorrow. Where does it end?
I'm not trying to challenge your choice there are lots of people using aux. tanks. I just don't understand how buying more fuel results in savings.
